Henry Jones Art Hotel, 25 Hunter St, Hobart * On Saturday, 11 November, we encourage everyone to observe a 1-minute silence at 11 am for Remembrance Day.
Architects: Unknown (1860s), Morris-Nunn & Associates (2004) English novelist Anthony Trollope wrote that Tasmania should make jam for all the world; and Henry Jones did just that! Now his iconic IXL Jam Factory is a world-class hotel, carefully blending 19th-century industrial design, contemporary architecture and an impressive collection of Tasmanian art.
Open House is an annual architecture program that opens some of Tasmania’s most unique buildings to the public, including private homes and historic buildings across lutruwita Tasmania. We acknowledge that Open House takes place on the land of the traditional owners of lutruwita (Tasmania) and pay respects to the palawa people, Tasmanian Aboriginal Community and to Elders - past, present and emerging.
