Architect: Bronwen Jones Hobart’s Old Colonial Georgian buildings are perhaps the finest of this era in Australia. Walk with architect Bronwen to visit these sandstone beauties and leave with a deeper understanding of just how special these small-scale buildings are in defining Hobart’s unique urban fabric. Featured buildings – Ingle Hall, Treasury Complex and Public Buildings, and former warehouses on New Wharf, Salamanca Place.
Open House is an annual architecture program that opens some of Tasmania’s most unique buildings to the public, including private homes and historic buildings across lutruwita Tasmania. We acknowledge that Open House takes place on the land of the traditional owners of lutruwita (Tasmania) and pay respects to the palawa people, Tasmanian Aboriginal Community and to Elders - past, present and emerging.
