Saturday 11 November 2023 | Tours: Sat 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm
Tours depart Brickworks, 9 Franklin Wharf, Hobart * On Saturday, 11 November, we encourage everyone to observe a 1-minute silence at 11 am for Remembrance Day.
Every sign tells a story! Explore the city with photographer and storyteller Brady Michaels, author of Signs of Australia: Vintage Signs from the City to the Outback. This one-hour walk around the CBD reveals stories of Hobart’s built environment through vintage signage, advertising and design. Open House is an annual architecture program that opens some of Tasmania’s most unique buildings to the public, including private homes and historic buildings across lutruwita Tasmania. We acknowledge that Open House takes place on the land of the traditional owners of lutruwita (Tasmania) and pay respects to the palawa people, Tasmanian Aboriginal Community and to Elders - past, present and emerging. For detail of the full Open House Hobart 2023 program, head to openhousehobart.org
