2 Formal CPD Points
Available on demand
The fundamentals that underpin BIM and Sustainability will be explored by highlighting when and why environmental analysis should be undertaken and what tools are available within BIM software packages. This seminar will explain what each analysis is, how it works and why it’s important. It will also explore non-BIM tools and other considerations beyond BIM that designers should be mindful of when creating truly sustainable designs.
This session is suitable for both the novice and expert in BIM and similarly so in sustainability.
Related Acumen Note: Sustainability and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
This presentation is equivalent to 2 hours/points of formal CPD and will deliver outcomes related to the following Competency/s from the National Standard of Competency for Architects:
Design: Conceptual Design
Design 3.8 Application of manual and digital graphic techniques and modelling to describe three dimensional form and spatial relationships.
Design: Schematic Design
4.5 Investigation and integration of appropriate structural, construction, service and transport systems in the project design.
6.1 Identification and adoption of a strategy, program and process of documentation integrated through all project stages to enable project delivery
Practice Management and Professional Conduct:
PC 13 Be able to identify and apply strategies, programming and processes for documentation through all project stages to facilitate project delivery, as appropriate to selected procurement processes.
