Flavia shares her holistic view, global perspective, and commitment to heritage practice as a Senior Principal at Element Advisory, part of SLR. She is a registered Architect in WA and a member of the Heritage Council of Western Australia. Her extensive portfolio includes working with local governments, private owners, and the State Government on a wide range of projects. She actively participates in climate, risk preparedness, and social-related scientific committees, including the International ICOMOS Climate Action and Rights-Based Approaches to World Heritage Sites Working Group, representing the Australian membership.

Speaker: Catherine Forbes
Principal, GML
Catherine Forbes is an architect with over 30 years’ experience in heritage conservation. Her expertise lies in analysing historic buildings, sites and urban precincts (including interiors and landscapes), preparing appropriate guidelines for their conservation, maintenance, adaptation, development and management. She is an expert in disaster risk management planning for cultural heritage, damage assessment and post disaster recovery.

Speaker: Jennifer Castaldi
Design and heritage architect, Jencas Architect
Jennifer is a Newcastle based architect with experience in design and planning in urban, regional, and remote areas. She specialises in heritage projects which encompass assessments and recommendations for conservation works for places of local, state, and national significance. Her projects cover residential, institutional, and industrial sites as well as national parks and coastal environments. Jennifer believes that heritage conservation is directly associated with sustainable building practice. She enjoys collaborating and learning from clients, consultants, and contractors. She started her professional career in Katherine in the Northern Territory where she has developed an understanding of cultural and physical environmental challenges and opportunities. She has also lived and worked in Darwin, Fremantle, and Sydney.

Speaker: Tanya Park
Owner and Director, Spinoza Property
Tanya has a PhD from Japan, thesis entitled "Architectural Preservation Process in Japan: Theoretical discourse and its application". She was Visiting Scholar, Digital Heritage Unit in Architecture, University of South Florida and a University Associate, School of Architecture and Design, University of Tasmania. Tanya has been Secretary General and Publications Editor for the ICOMOS International Wood Committee and representative on the ICOMOS Climate Change Working Group. Tanya has also been Chair of Blue Shield Australia. For the past 20 years, Tanya has been Owner and Director of Spinoza Property Ltd, an Australasian property development and management company specializing in heritage properties. Recently, Tanya was Adjunct Lecturer, School of Environment, Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University and has worked in various heritage consulting firms in Sydney.
