Design: Pre-Design 2.6 Preparation and analysis of project development options in response to project brief. Design: Conceptual Design 3.3 Design response incorporates assessment of the physical location and relevant wider regional, contextual and environmental issues. 3.4 Design response incorporates assessment of relevant legislation, codes and industry standards. 3.6 Assessment of the economic impact on the project of design strategies and options. 3.7 Assessment and integration of construction systems and materials consistent with project brief.
DANIEL GIUFFRE
COFOUNDER INTENSIVE FIELDS LAB Daniel Guiffre is a designer, researcher, and educator who specialises in Architectural Design Technology. Daniel is currently on the Australian Institute of Architects’ Digital Technology Committee and the Co-Founder of Intensive Fields Lab. Daniel specialises in creative applications of advanced generative and computational design and fabrication technologies, using Rhino & Grasshopper tools. He pursues cross-disciplinary collaborations, where his technical and theoretical expertise enables other designers and practitioners to realise their work.
TRISTAN MORGAN
NATIONAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGY LEAD: INNOVATION COX Tristan is the National Design Technology Innovation Lead of COX Architecture, an active member of the COX Futures Committee, COX Research Working Group, and coordinates COX National Computational Design Group. With a background in practice, teaching, and research, he is a passionate advocate for technological innovation nationally. The integration of emerging and innovative technology within practice is a key focus of his work, which is balanced against providing critical digital technology and computational support and advice to project teams. Tristan received the WA Future Leader of the Year Design Award from the Property Council of Australia in 2019, and is a current member of the Australian Institute of Architects’ Digital Technology Committee.
