Introducing Sustainability Snacks, a series of short online sessions that aim to demystify sustainability in practice. In just 30 minutes, we will hear from a practitioner on how they are reducing their impact.

In our next Sustainability Snack, we have Andrew Barnes, Delivery Systems Leader at ACOR Consultants. They will walk us through:

  • Passion and advocacy for heritage
  • Disabled access implementation
  • Code and design dilemmas

Online Format: - There will be a chance for Q&A after the talk, via questions in the chat. - A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants.
Please register to help give us an idea of numbers and share this with your friends. Come on time, tune in at lunch, and BYO snacks.
Remember the presentation will be short, so don’t miss out!

EmAGN and SONA acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians of the land and acknowledges and pays respect to their Elders, past and present. .

Can I register if I am not an Australian Institute of Architects Member? Yes! Simply register as a non-member when prompted after clicking to register for this webinar. This will set up a free non-member account, that you can use in the future when joining us for events or seminars.

Who is the event organiser?
This event is an initiative of The Institutes EmAGN and SONA committees. EmAGN (Emerging Architects and Graduates Network) advocates for and supports architectural professionals within 15 years of graduation. SONA (Student Organised Network for Architecture) is the student-membership body of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Representatives from each of the SONA & EmAGN committees contribute to developing this program. Get in touch if you would like to be considered  to present at our next Sustainability Snack session. emagn@architecture.com.au or sona@architecture.com.au

Why is it only 30min?
We realise that screen fatigue is very real and would like to keep these sessions as efficient as possible.

What if I turn up late?
You might miss the presentation, so try to turn up on time!

Will this be recorded?
Sessions will be recorded where possible, but can’t be guaranteed, so don’t miss out!

Why is it online?
We hope this initiative can be accessible to as many people as possible, including those in non-metropolitan areas who might not be able to attend most of our EmAGN and SONA events.

Who should I send feedback to?
Please send any feedback to emagn@architecture.com.au .

I didn’t receive the zoom link – how can I find it?
Once registered you will receive the link. If you did not receive this, please email emagn@architecture.com.au. We will also try to publish the zoom link on our @emagn_aus Instagram story on the presentation day, just in case the email doesn’t arrive in your inbox.
