Date: Friday, 3 February 2023 Time: 12.00pm - 3.00pm (AEDT) Location: Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, 161 Elizabeth St, Sydney NSW 2000 Lunch: 3-course lunch and beverage package included
Join NSW Chapter President Laura Cockburn and leaders from our key built environment professions as we discuss the impacts we can make in affordable housing and why design matters. In this not to be missed pre-election event, you’ll hear from each of the major political parties as they discuss their vision for NSW in this critical area for 2023 and beyond. Joining us will be the Hon. Rob Stokes, Shadow Ministers Paul Scully, Rose Jackson, and Cate Faehrmann MLC. Housing is a basic human need and a universal human right. In the rapidly expanding cities and towns of the twenty-first century, there is a critical need for more flexible and diverse housing solutions. In the face of social and demographic change, built environment professionals have the design and problem-solving skills to deliver more affordable housing. Economic inequality is also a growing concern and we have the skills to provide housing that is dignified and accessible, reducing both upfront and ongoing costs. Climate change is one of the global issues built environment professionals can address through design and problem-solving skills to deliver more affordable, dignified and accessible housing. Perhaps more than any other typology, in affordable housing, design matters. Be sure to join your peers for an informative and engaging lunchtime event.
