Overview

Following on from the successful sold-out Newcastle Awards in 2023, we are going bigger and better for our members and hosting the 2024 Newcastle Architecture Awards at the Novotel Newcastle Beach.

Given the quality, attention, and care that our members bring to the awards, it is only right that we have an ample platform where we can give prominence to the winning projects that strive to improve our community and landscape.

You, your peers, your clients, builders, family, and friends are invited to view the awards live, collect your certificate/s and rejoice at each other’s achievements. It will be a night of laughs, cheers and electrifying energy so register using the link below, and we will see you there!

The Newcastle Architecture Awards 2023 celebrates design excellence in architecture in Newcastle. It is also a great way for architects to receive public and peer recognition for projects and helps the Institute to promote architects and architecture within Newcastle, NSW, across Australia and internationally. The culture of design in Newcastle is very strong, reflecting design excellence of the highest calibre, the diversity of work being undertaken in the region and the breadth of talent in the Newcastle architecture community.

Tim Ross
He may be best known for his work on TV and radio (at different times hosting both the number one breakfast and drive shows in Sydney) but comedian Tim Ross has also always had a passion for architecture and design.

Over the last 11 years, he has performed his live Man About the House show in architecturally significant buildings and homes all over the world.

Tim also passionately supports important issues in Australian architecture and design, and in 2018 Tim was awarded the National Trust Heritage Award for Advocacy. In 2019 Tim was awarded the National President’s Prize from the Australian Institute of Architects, then in 2022 Tim was not only asked to be a member of the National Architecture Awards jury, but also awarded an honorary member of the Australian Institute of Architects.

We are thrilled to have Tim host this year’s Newcastle Awards.
