Overview 

Join us for a conversation unpacking everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the registration process!
Alongside a conversation with Dr Kirsten Orr, NSW Registrar & CEO, we will also hear from the Institute about their new PALS format. 
We will after the online presentation run you through how to fill out the log book and write your statement and answer any questions you may have.

Dr Kirsten Orr
Dr Kirsten Orr is the Registrar and CEO of the NSW Architects Registration Board, the Government regulator for approx. 6,300 NSW architects. Her role drives the governance and performance of functions under the Architects Act 2003. This includes registering architects and enforcing their regulatory compliance obligations, operating complaints investigation and dispute resolution systems, and developing and implementing initiatives to improve and strengthen regulatory effectiveness, including the delivery of education programs to enhance architects’ understanding of professional standards


Mohana Ryan
Mohana Ryan has dedicated her career to Project and Program Management, specialising in the Not for Profit and Education Sphere.  Making a Difference is her primary driver. With innovative groundbreaking programs such as Glasses for Kids for State Schools Relief, Pathways to Possibilities for the Brotherhood of St Laurence and introducing Simulated Training Models at Dairy Australia. A strong communicator, her passion is for purpose, process and above all people. Currently Mohana enjoys her time as Project Manager for Education at the Australian Institute of Architects and juggling a small dog, 2 cats and a kitten.

Candice Halliday
 

Candice Halliday is the Principal Architect and founder of CNA Design Studio, based in regional New South Wales. With over a decade of experience, she is known for designing sustainable, inclusive spaces that respond to both people and place. Her work spans residential, education, health, aged care, commercial, and interior design sectors, shaped by her time in diverse practices across Canberra and Newcastle.
A registered Building Design Practitioner and specialist in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Candice is a national advocate for accessible, high-performance design. As the 2026 National President of the Australian Institute of Architects’ Emerging Architects and Graduates Network (EmAGN), she champions equity, mentorship, and regional engagement.
Her practice reflects a commitment to circular economy principles, collaborative industry leadership, and architecture that fosters community, resilience, and innovation.
