Bondor_Metecno manufacturing cluster in Brisbane is collectively the largest insulated panel facility in Australia producing the greatest volume of insulated sandwich panel in the country from one site.
These CodeMark and FM accredited products cover architectural, commercial and residential applications for walling and roofing. The panels have BlueScope steel facings and either EPS-FR, PIR or Mineral Wool core material ranging in thickness from 25mmm to 250mm and PANELS up to 24 meters in length. The suite of products address the full range of critical performance requirements including fire, thermal and structural.
The tour will cover the two facilities on the site covering the PIR panel manufacturing process for MetecnoPanel / MetecnoSpan and the laminating process for SolarSpan Bondor Panel and Flameguard. You will see two very different manufacturing processes, the quality control system and product testing, fabricating, handling and despatch.
Following the factory tour we will demonstrate some practical installation practices and there will be an opportunity to get hands on with the product and try some installation yourself if you like.

There will be a free bus departing from the QLD Chapter in West End at 8:15am sharp. This bus will return from Bondor to the chapter office at 12pm. Please indicate when registering if you will be needing this transportation, otherwise you can meet us onsite at Acacia Ridge.
