‘Learn from industry experts Jordan Tentori, ZIMI & Simon Gerard, TRADER about the new world of connected living spaces and IoT building design. They will talk you through the operability & benefits that IoT building design can give to building owners, facility managers & occupants. The newly launched Zimi Powemesh system is a simple way to offer various forms of automation in a living space via Touch (at the wall), Tap (via your phone) & Talk (Voice) control. We will explain the design considerations that are relevant to the installation of an IoT electrical system in both new and existing buildings. Plus, discuss how an IoT electrical system can assist a user in monitoring power consumption and improving energy efficiency for their facility. Please come along with plenty of questions and an inquisitive mind. Finger food and drinks will be provided.
At the end of this session participants should be able to:
Specify an electrical system with IoT capability that can assist a client/building user in monitoring power consumption and improving the energy efficiency of their facility.
- Understand what IoT building design means.
- Understand the operability provided by IoT building design to building owners, facility managers and occupants.
- Have knowledge of the design considerations relevant to installation of an electrical system with IoT capability in both new and existing buildings.
NSCA Performance Criteria: Design 4.5 Investigation and integration of appropriate structural, construction, service and transport systems in the project design.
1 Formal CPD point on completion of assessment.
