Join Natalie Di Sisto as she presents the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre. Recently winning the AIA SA Chapter Award for Public Architecture and Commendation for Sustainable Architecture.  The centre is a gathering place for all to participate in sports, recreation, and community events, which meets the needs of approximately 60 community groups.

WULANDA RECREATION AND CONVENTION CENTRE
Limestone sinkholes and ancient volcanic events have formed Berrin / Mount Gambier's environs and provide natural focal points in the landscape.  These inform the design of the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre, a gathering place for all to participate in sports, recreation, and community events.  Wulanda means 'enjoy or cherish' in Bunganditj language.  The centre meets the needs of approximately 60 community groups, from large clubs to smaller volunteer groups, and individuals of all ages and abilities.  The centre contains an indoor aquatic zone, community meeting and gathering space, community offices and allied health suites.  A multi-purpose community hall hosts conventions, concerts, trade shows and sports.  Acoustic design, retractable seating and multi-purpose surfaces enable the centre to adapt from events to sporting competitions.
