Join Peter Dermoudy renowned architect to hear about Peter's life as an architect in Darwin over more than 50 years. Mr Dermoudy, designed many strange and wonderful structures during his time in Darwin from mysterious bomb shelters, exotic churches and a silo house made from uranium tanks. Peter will take you on his journey of amazing projects. Peter is joining the NT Chapter for their Awards program.

Overview

In the 1970s, Darwin's skyline was briefly graced with a UFO-shaped monument to experimental design. The name Peter Dermoudy will be familiar to many long-term residents — he became infamous for his fondness for making spectacularly imaginative architecture a reality. He spent part of his 50 years in the Darwin as a government architect.

This event is an initiative of NT Chapter.
