Overview
Having sound knowledge of the client-architect agreement and all its different components is critical to a successful project outcome. The scope of services and associated fee structure put in place needs to be well understood to ensure a project can be properly serviced.

PC 5 Be able to apply essential elements of a client architect agreement across the range of procurement methods in relation to their appropriateness to the scale and type of the project, including alternatives for partial services and the engagement of secondary and sub-consultants.

Overview

- Provisions relating to architect’s rights on a project
- How to deal with disputes and possible termination
- Itemising various aspects in special condition
- Advising the client of theirs and the architect’s obligations

This module introduces the subject of managing costs on a project.

2.3 Evaluation of factors influencing and impacting on project cost
2.4 Analysis of project brief in relation to client’s objective, budget and timeframe
2.5 Attainment of approval from client of project budget and timeframe

4.8 Analysis of schematic design in regard to cost planning and timeframe to comply with client and project requirements
Documentation: Detailed Design
5.7 Resolution of project design to address budget and time constraints
