Overview

DAVID CHANDLER

David Chandler OAM was appointed NSW Building Commissioner in 2019 after an impressive forty year career in the Australian construction industry.
In his capacity as NSW Building Commissioner David is improving the quality of construction and restoring trust in the industry through leading the delivery of Construct NSW, in collaboration with the sector.

YIN MAN

Yin has over 20 years’ experience in driving digital transformation across financial, cultural and Government sectors. 
She is passionate about enabling real-time data and analytics to augment business capabilities and efficiency levels.
Her previous experience includes leading the HealtheNet Program for eHealth to enable information sharing across hospitals, community health services, primary care and the national health record, myHealth.

In her last role before joining the Office of the Building Commissioner, she led the replacement of NSW’s legacy child protection system.

MATTHEW PRESS

Matt Press is the Director of the Office of the NSW Building Commissioner and responsible for leading the delivery of Construct NSW – a transformation program that seeks to restore pride and confidence in the NSW building and construction industry.

Matt is passionate about driving change to produce customer-centric outcomes and previously held roles in building regulation, strategy consulting and corporate affairs. 
He has worked locally and internationally for organisations such as PwC, Ofcom, Bupa Health and Optus

DR KIRSTEN ORR

Dr Kirsten Orr is Registrar of the NSW Architects Registration Board and a NSW registered architect.
Previously, she was a Director of the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (2016-2020);  Professor of Architecture and Dean of the School of Technology, Environments & Design at the University of Tasmania (2016-18);  and Associate Professor at the University of Technology Sydney (1999-2015).
She has made leadership contributions to all the major Australian government and professional bodies regulating the practice of architecture, education of architecture students and accreditation of Australian architecture programs.

CRAIG BURNS

Craig Burns is an architect with over 30 years’ experience across the design and delivery of a wide range of project types.  He is Technical Director at BVN and is a member of the AIA Practice Committee Technical Sub Group.  He also sits on the Building Commissioners Watershedding Working Group.

This presentation is equivalent to 1.5 hours/points of informal CPD.
