Building Quietly; Towards an architecture of care and consequence
Regional Chats Newcastle + Online | DunnHillam Architecture + Urban Design

Location: NuSpace- Room X320, Corner of Hunter Street & Auckland Street, Newcastle NSW 2300
Overview
Over 25 years, DunnHillam has built a practice around a simple conviction: that architecture is an ethical act before it is an aesthetic one. Building Quietly reflects on what it means to design with care and consequence, where buildings answer to the communities and places that hold them. Drawing on recent and past projects across cultural, social, and heritage work, Ashley Dunn and Lee Hillam share an approach shaped less by signature than by attention, accountability, and restraint. This is a talk about how we practice, and why the quieter questions of architecture may be the ones that matter most.
