Architecture Australia

Architecture Australia is the official journal of the Australian Institute of Architects. Published bi-monthly by Architecture Media, Architecture Australia has been capturing Australian architecture for over 100 years. Each issue brings you independent reviews by leading thinkers in Australian architecture.

Six issues of Architecture Australia are published each year (Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, May/Jun, Jul/Aug, Sep/Oct & Nov/Dec).

From 2023, individual members including students, and those resident outside Australia, will receive a print subscription to Architecture Australia (unless opted out) delivered to their registered postal address.  A+ practices will receive up to five copies of Architecture Australia (AA) delivered to their registered office address, unless opted out.  Staff of A+ practices will continue to receive their included subscription to AA magazine delivered digitally through online newsstand Zinio (as initiated in May 2020).  Individual members can opt-out of receiving the print version by updating their national publication preferences in their member profile under 'preferences'. A+ practice members can opt-out via the practice profile accessed only by those eligible to manage the A+ membership (nominated practice administrators). All members can also purchase a discounted annual print subscription to AA via publisher Architecture Media, from only $45 (1 year, 6 issues) for delivery within Australia or $140 to overseas addresses. Conditions apply, see below for further information.

To ensure you're registered to receive your complimentary digital AA magazine, navigate to ‘Preferences’ in your member profile and check the box marked ‘Architecture Australia (digital)’ listed under ‘National Publications’. If you're newly opting in or have changed your preference (opt in or out), your preference will take effect from the next issue (published bi-monthly).

Email notifications regarding the release of each new issue of AA Magazine are received from reply@pub.zinio.com (bi-monthly). To access your digital subscription, create a complimentary Zinio account with your Institute-registered email address.  Each issue of AA will then be visible in your Zinio account under ‘My Library’ accessible via web browser, or via the Zinio app, downloadable via Google Play or Apple App Store.
